In a world marked by unrest, hurried schedules, and unseen burdens we each carry, Advent invites us to pause and breathe in God’s peace. This peace is not the absence of conflict or the quieting of all noise, but the deep assurance that God is present with us — steady, faithful, and near.

As we light the second candle, we remember that Christ comes as the Prince of Peace, breaking into our anxious lives with compassion, courage, and calm. His peace steadies our hearts when circumstances shift, anchors us when uncertainty rises, and calls us to become peacemakers in our homes, neighborhoods, and community.
